What is the MLLPOA? Who are it’s members?

Maple Lake-Lake Property Owners Association, MLLPOA, was established  in 1970, to protect our lake and the surrounding natural environment. In September of 2013, the IRS granted the Association 501(c)3 Charitable Organization status. Members are volunteers who continually strive to preserve the pristine waters of Maple Lake, located in Wright County, Minnesota. Your donations make this possible. Contributions are now fully tax deductable under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Association’s major funding source is its annual ice fishing contest, originally started by the Maple Lake Jaycees in 1975. The annual Maple Lake Ice Fishing Derby is one of the largest and oldest in Minnesota, with more than 20,000 entrants and hundreds of prizes. All net proceeds from donations and fundraising go toward the maintenance and preservation of our Lake.

The Association and Board Members are all volunteers who love the lake. Together with their neighbors and the visitors who enjoy the water, the MLLPOA works hard to keep Maple Lake clean and free from invasive species. Our Annual Spring Board Meeting is always the first day of May. Join us!

Please, enjoy this wonderful resource, be safe, and please pick up your garbage!
